Country Code Selection

This field defines the Wireless Pocket USB's regulatory domain and specifies its
allowed channel frequencies.

3.5.1 Scanning Mode Section

This section details the different options that are available in the Scanning Mode
section of Preferences dialog box (see Figure 9).

Note:

The Scanning Mode section of Figure 9 is currently disabled.

Scanning Mode Options

These options are used to configure the scanning mode to either active or passive
mode.

In Active mode the Wireless Pocket USB initiates channel allocation, while in
Passive mode the NIC searches for available channels.

Scan Bands Drop-down List

This drop-down list defines what bands to scan.

3.5.2 Auto Power Save Configuration Section /

(Battery Operating Power Save Drop-down List)

The Battery Operating Power Save drop-down list in the Auto Power Save
Configuration section is used to define the Wireless Pocket USB's power save
scheme. These power save schemes include:

Note:

The Auto Power Save configuration section of Figure 9 is currently

disabled.

Max Performance

Little or almost no power save options are enabled.

Max Battery Life

All power save options enabled to extend battery life to the maximum.

3.5.3 Defaults Button

The default button is used in order to reset all preferences to their default settings.
