
Module programming
Refer to "LED diagnostics and troubleshooting" on page 32 for more information and for troubleshooting purposes.
To connect the module:

Please
ensure
that the vehicle is in a safe location and cannot move forward during
programming. For vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, make sure the gearshift
lever is in the neutral position.

Connect
all the harnesses to the Directed Digital Solutions,
EXCEPT
the 12-pin main power
harness.
Connect all but the
12-pin harness

Connect
the 12-pin main power harness, and wait until the LED turns ON solid red.

Make sure the key is inside the vehicle.
For vehicles with knob:
turn
the ignition knob to RUN position.
For vehicles with Push-To-Start button:
Important!
Do NOT press the brake pedal.
Press
the Push-to-Start (PTS) button twice to turn the ignition ON.

The LED flashes orange indicating ignition was sensed then turns ON solid green for 3
seconds.
Note:
When skipping transponder programming, the orange LED flashes then the orange
LED turns ON for 3 seconds and shuts off.

DATA Tach: Firmware using DATA Tach, the tachometer is preprogrammed for the vehicle
and no further action is required. For instructions on how to adjust tach or use Virtual tach,
refer to "Initialize Virtual Tach" (not needed with hardwired or data tach applications), see
Hardwire Tach: Firmware using the Violet/White Hardwire Tach input will require
programming. For instructions on how to program or adjust tach or use Virtual tach, refer
to "Initialize Virtual Tach" (not needed with hardwired or data tach applications), see page
