Remote-Starting your Vehicle (only with
remote starter)
Remote-Starting
Press the button for approximately 1 second. The remote will beep once to inform you that the
vehicle has received your signal. Approximately 5 seconds later, the engine will start. The remote
will confirm the remote starter’s activation by beeping 3 times.
If your vehicle does not start at the first attempt, the system will shut down, wait a few seconds and
try to start the engine again.
Driving Off
With the vehicle running under remote control, press the button to disarm and unlock the
doors. Enter the vehicle and do the following:
•
Turn the ignition key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position. (Do not turn the key to the CRANK
position while the engine is running.)
•
Press the brake pedal to disengage the remote starter unit.
You are now ready to drive off.

Idle Mode (only with remote starter)
Convenience feature (compatible bypass module only): Idle Mode allows you to keep the
engine running and the doors locked while you stop, for example, at a convenience store or for a
short delivery.
This feature allows you to let the remote starter take over control of the vehicle (i.e. no Key in the
Ignition Switch) while the engine is running.
