Be sure to set-up your wireless modem before connecting it to
your computer.

Make sure your computer is turned off.

Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into your Direct WiMax modem’s
Ethernet jack, but do not connect it to your computer yet!

Connect the modem to the power supply into a wall outlet.
Plug the power supply into the side of the modem.

Once the status light turns green, you have confirmed that a
connection has been established.

Once you see the green status light, look at the number of
lit bars on the top of the modem. The more bars the stronger
the signal.

move the modem closer to a window. Do

your computer.

Now turn your computer on.

starting Internet Explorer or your preferred Internet browser.

Do not throw away your modem packaging.
In the event of service termination or an exchange of equipment, you
claim sole responsibility for the modem and all of the cords and/or
equipment to be returned in the same condition in which it was given to
you by Direct Communications. Direct Communications reserves the
right to deny any equipment return. This is not limited to equipment that
has been broken, tampered with, and/or missing parts. To receive credit for a modem
return, your return should include the modem, power supply, Ethernet cable, and the
original box with equipment MAC ID, UPC code, and packaging. An additional charge
will apply if original packaging and all cords and equipment are not included with
modem return.
If you ever cancel your service, you will be required to return the modem within 30
days of cancellation or else there will be a $250 modem non-return fee charge to your
payment method on file. If you are disconnected for non-payment, the moment your
account is sent to collections, the modem non-return fee will be increased to $500.
