Cause:
A problem with the AS-HV firmware or electronics.
To troubleshoot:
Contact Dionex for assistance.
Cause:
A communication failure between the AS-HV and the Chromeleon PC. or
between the AS-HV and the syringe pump.
To troubleshoot:
1. Check that the DIP switches on the AS-HV are set correctly (see
Section 2.2 ).
2. Check that the AS-HV and the Chromeleon PC have the same serial port
parameters. Refer to Section B.3.14 for the correct settings.
3. Check that the cable between the AS-HV and the PC is firmly connected
and screwed into place.
4. Initialize the AS-HV to verify that it is in a working state. (Turn off the
power, wait 10 seconds, and turn on the power again.)
5. Send some commands from Chromeleon to the AS-HV; while the
commands are being sent, observe the
HOST
LED on the AS-HV:
If the
HOST
LED flashes while commands are being sent, it confirms
that the AS-HV has received a character from the PC. The AS-HV
always responds when a carriage return (the
Enter
key) is received,
regardless of the success of the message. This confirms that the baud
rate is correct.
If the
HOST
LED does not flash while commands are being sent,
confirm that the AS-HV is functioning by watching for the
CPU
LED
to flash. If the CPU LED does not start flashing within 10 to
