5. Frost Protection Programme
A special frost protection programme can be set for longer
periods of absence. In this mode, the heater switches on if
the temperature recorded by the temperature sensor on the
heater with integrated programming module is just a few °C
above freezing.
•
Only complete days can be selected.
•
The time period which can be set is at least 1 day and
no more than 99 days.
•
During serial use (see "1. Description"), all
downstream heaters are also set to frost protection.
Setting frost protection
Press

and OK buttons simultaneously for approx. 3
seconds until "00" flashes.
Use
←
→
buttons to select the number of days (01 = 1
day, 07 = 7 days)
Press OK to confirm.
The number of days for frost protection mode is shown on
the display.
Once the set frost protection period is over, the programme
returns to the original programme. If the frost protection
programme is interrupted prematurely, the
→
and OK
buttons should be pressed simultaneously for around 3
seconds.
6. Button Lock
Press the two
←
→
buttons for 3 seconds. The key symbol
appears on the display. The buttons are locked against
unauthorised use.
To cancel the button lock, press the two
←
→
buttons again
for 3 seconds.
7. Electrical Connection
If a programming module is to be used to control e.g. a
complete apartment, one heater (master heater) is fitted
with the programming module. All downstream heaters
(slave heaters) should be linked to the master heater by a
black control wire.
The heating programmes set on the master heater's
programming module are then also used by the
downstream slave heaters. Move rotary switch on all
heaters to "
".
Not necessary on EPX and GFP heater types.
A maximum of 20 slave heaters can be connected
downstream of one master heater.
8. Rectifying Minor Problems
Programming not possible

Cancel button lock if applied (see 6. Button Lock).

Press Prog button for around 1 second.
Continue as described under "4.b".
Nothing shown on display
⇒
Load programming module.
Plug module into heater until battery is charged (takes
around 10 mins.).
In the event of faults, please contact your electrician or your
nearest Dimplex customer service point.
The E number and FD number of the programming module
and heater are needed to process the order and can be
found on the respective type plate.
9. Cleaning
The programming module must be removed from the heater
before cleaning.
The outside can be cleaned by wiping with a soft, damp
cloth and then dried.
Warning! Do not dampen contacts on underside!
Do not use abrasive powder or furniture polish to clean as
these may damage the surface and the display in particular.
