Removing a QIC Tape from a TZK10 Tape Drive

Summary

This section describes how to remove a QIC tape from the TZK10
tape drive.

Removal
Procedure

Table 4–5 lists the steps that you must follow to remove a QIC
tape from a TZK10 tape drive.

Note

See your operating system or application documentation
for information on the software commands that dismount
or eject the QIC tape.

Step

Action

Result

Enter the operating
system commands to
dismount or eject the
QIC tape.

The TZK10 makes a whirring
sound.
The dual-color LED flashes
green, then stays green when
the whirring sounds stop.

Press the eject button.

The drive door partially
opens.
The dual-color LED turns off.

Open the door fully.

The QIC tape partially ejects
from the TZK10.

Remove the QIC tape.

Close the drive door.
