1.
From the Macintosh Finder, double-click any folder on the desktop to display a
directory window.
2.
From the File menu, choose Page Setup. Make sure the paper size that is displayed
is loaded in your Colorwriter. Click OK.
3.
From the File menu, choose Print Window.
The Print dialog box appears.
4.
From the Print dialog box, click Options, and choose Color/Grayscale (not Black
and White) from the Print pop-up menu.
The Adobe PSPrinter driver v8.3.1 displays other color options depending on the
software you have installed.
5.
Click the Print button.
If the Colorwriter prints a copy of the selected window, your AppleTalk
connection is operational.

NETWORK
:
For Macintosh computers on a mixed network with computers using
Windows NT Server or Windows NT Workstation, the steps for installing the
PSPrinter driver, verifying the connection, and making a test print are the same as
for pure Macintosh networks.
If the Colorwriter does not remain available from the Macintosh Chooser on such
a mixed network, the Windows NT administrator probably elected to “capture”
the Colorwriter. This hides the Colorwriter from Macintosh users who wish to
print directly to it. Digital recommends that you do not select the capture option.
To make the Colorwriter available in the Macintosh Chooser, the administrator
needs to change the setting on the Windows NT Server, as follows:

Open the Windows NT Print Manager.

Choose Properties from the Printer menu.
