VLAN Commands

switchport voice vlan

This command specifies the Voice VLAN mode for ports. Use the

form to disable

the Voice VLAN feature on the port.

Syntax

switchport voice vlan

manual

auto

no switchport voice vlan

- The Voice VLAN feature is enabled on the port, but the port must

be manually added to the Voice VLAN.

•

auto

- The port will be added as a tagged member to the Voice VLAN when

VoIP traffic is detected on the port.

is selected, you must select the method to use for detecting VoIP

traffic, either OUI or 802.1ab (LLDP)

using the

switchport voice vlan rule

command (page 4-257)

. When OUI is selected, be sure to configure the MAC

address ranges in the Telephony OUI list using the

voice vlan mac-address

command (page 4-256).

Example

The following example sets port 1 to Voice VLAN auto mode.

switchport voice vlan rule

This command selects a method for detecting VoIP traffic on a port. Use the

form

to disable the detection method on the port.
