3.2. CALL WAITING
The Call Waiting service, if supported by the GSM network operator, keeps you informed on a new incoming call during a phone
conversation in progress.
3.2.1. ENABLE THE CALL WAITING (*43#)
1. Hook off the phone, you hear the dial tone.
2. Enter the code
*43# to enable the Call Waiting (using a DTMF phone)
3. If the service is enabled successfully, you will hear the configuration tone (continuous tone repeated twice).
4. Hook on the phone to complete the procedure.
3.2.2. DISABLE THE CALL WAITING (#43#)
1. Hook off the phone, you hear the dial tone.
2. Enter the code
#43# to disable the Call Waiting (using a DTMF phone)
3. If the service is disabled successfully, you will hear the configuration tone (continuous tone repeated twice).
4. Hook on the phone to complete the procedure.
3.2.3. CHECK THE CALL WAITING STATUS SERVICE (*#43#)
1. Hook off the phone, you hear the dial tone.
2. Enter the code
*#43# to check the Call Waiting status service (using a DTMF phone)
3. If the service is enabled, you will hear a continuous tone repeated twice.
4. If the service is disabled, you will hear a single continuous tone of few seconds.
5. Hook on the phone to complete the procedure.
3.3. HOLD
During a conversation in progress, you can put the call on hold pressing the
R or flash key of the keypad of phone connected to
2G GSM Gateway Voce.
To continue the conversation you can press again the R or flash key.
The use of R or flash key depends on the used analog phone.
If the call waiting service is enabled in a conversation in progress, you hear a tone when you receive a new call.
In this situation you can use R or flash key followed by a number:
R0 or flash0
reject the new call, and continue the current conversation.
R2 or flash2
answer the new call, putting on hold the current conversation.
Now there is a conversation in progress, and a second one on hold; you can:
R1 or flash1
hang up the current conversation, and resume the second one on hold.
R2 or flash2
To switch between the two calls press R2 or flash2.
3.4. CONFERENCE CALLS (MULTIPARTY SERVICE)
When a conversation is in progress, and a second one on hold, by digiting the code:
R3 or flash3
you enable the conference calls (multiparty service). You speak simultaneously with the other two
users in a conference call conversation.
Otherwise to enable a call conference, put on hold the first call and dial the second number from 2G GSM Gateway Voce:
Additional
Call Offering (ACO)
R or flash
put on hold the present conversation.
Wait for dial tone, then dial the second number. When the user answers, you will have an active conversation and a second
conversation on hold; you can now manage simultaneous calls or enable the call conference.
