Digi ConnectTank Firmware Update
You can update Digi ConnectTank firmware online as well as offline with Device Cloud.
Digi ConnectTank Firmware Update Sequence
Digi ConnectTank has two update components:
•
Cellular module
•
Microcontroller
When both the cellular module and the microcontroller firmware are updated, ensure that you update the
cellular module before the microcontroller firmware.
To update the cellular module and the microcontroller firmware, follow these steps.
1.
Update the cellular module firmware by following steps provided in the
Digi ConnectTank Offline Firmware Update
sections
. Once the cellular module
firmware is successfully updated, the device restarts and connects to Device Cloud.
2. Update the microcontroller by following steps provided in the
Digi ConnectTank Online Firmware Update

Alternatively, you can manually wake up the device using the magnet for updating the cellular module or follow
Digi ConnectTank Offline Firmware Update
instructions to schedule firmware update for next wake-up.
NOTE:
The next wake cycle is based on the Read sensor every setting and sensor report interval. For
example, if sensor read interval is 15 minutes and sensor report interval is 4, then the device wakes up
every 1 hour.
Digi ConnectTank Online Firmware Update
1. Navigate to
. Log in to your Device Cloud account using your login credentials.
2. Select the
Devices
menu within the
Device Management
tab.
3. Locate your device from the device list, then right-click on it.
4. Select
Firmware
, then
Update Firmware
.
