Maintenance

Observe the following requirements when cleaning the system.

6.1

Before Performing Maintenance Procedures on the System

The

operator

should be familiar with the following information before performing maintenance proce-

dures:

•

The features and equipment on your system

•

The service options your institution has selected for its system(s)

Standard and Optional Equipment

The system might not have all the features described in this manual. Refer to the documents listed in

Appendix A

for more information.

Maintenance Options

Verify which service option the institution has selected before servicing the system.

WARNING

This unit has more than one power supply cord. To reduce the risk of electrical
shock disconnect both power cords before servicing.

6.2

Cleaning the Keyboards

Clean the keyboard surface with a soft cloth lightly moistened with a liquid non-aggressive detergent.

6.3

Cleaning the System Housing

•

Use only mild soap and water with a soft cloth

•

Wipe completely dry with a soft cloth

•

DO NOT

use harsh chemicals such as solvents or paint thinners

•

DO NOT

use abrasive cleaning compounds

•

DO NOT

use abrasive scouring pads (such as steel wool, Scotch Brite®, and so forth)

•

DO NOT

use high-pressure cleaning systems (such as power washers)

•

On systems not rated for weather exposure, use caution when cleaning exterior surfaces.

DO NOT

use more liquids than necessary.

•

Do not spray cleaners directly onto the system surface, spray the cleaner onto a cleaning cloth, then
use the damp cloth to wipe the surface.
