BA9x BCR User Manual 

Redundancy 

When redundancy is enabled, a 1D code label has to be scanned and decoded 
multiple times and the results must be the same, before it considered correctly 
decoded. The redundancy count is the number of times that the label has to be 
scanned in addition to the first scan. Selecting a higher redundancy count reduces 
the probability of reading errors, but it makes the output response slower.
