Ironing Guide Chart
Below is a guide on the temperature setting required for different types of fabric, along with the rec-
ommended iron method.
Fabric Temperature Setting Ironing Recommendation
Acrylic • Dry iron the garment inside out.
Acetate •
Dry iron inside out while still damp or use a spray
bottle with water to dampen the material.
Nylon •
Iron inside out while still damp or use a spray bottle
with water to dampen the material.
Polyester • •
Iron inside out while still damp or use a spray bottle
with water to dampen the material.
Silk • •
Iron inside out. Place a handkerchief over the ma-
terial while ironing to prevent shine marks.
Wool • • Steam iron inside out or use a handkerchief to iron.
Wool Blends • • Steam iron inside out or use a handkerchief to iron.
Cotton Blends • • •
Check the tag and follow the manufacturer’s di-
rections. Use the setting for the textile that requires
the least adjustment.
