4. Unlock the socket by pushing the load lever down, moving it sideways until it is released
from the retention tab; then lift the load lever up.
5. Lift the load lever to lift the load plate. Lift the load lever up to the angle shown on the
photo.
7. Insert the CPU into the socket. The gold triangular mark on the CPU must align with the
corner of the CPU socket shown on the photo.
8. Close the load plate then push the load lever down. While closing the load plate, make
sure the front edge of the load plate slides under the retention knob.
9. Hook the load lever under the retention tab.
Important:
The CPU will fit in only one orientation and can easily be inserted without exerting
any force.
