Installing the Sil 3114 RAID Driver on Existing Windows

®

 XP or

Windows

®

 2000

1. Insert the provided CD into a CD-ROM drive.

2. On the left side of the autorun screen, click the “TOOLS” icon.

3. Click “Silicon Image RAID Drivers”. A “readme” screen which

contains the RAID drivers installation instructions will appear.

4. Follow the installation instructions to complete installtion.

5. Reboot the system for the driver to take effect.

Important:

Treat the hard drives' cables with extreme caution especially
while creating RAID. A damaged cable will ruin the entire
installation process and operating system. The system will not
boot and you will lost all data in the hard drives. Please give
special attention to this warning because there is no way of
recovering back the data.
