Hardware Installation

Installing the Transpiper Outside the Chassis

Before you proceed, make sure you have already installed the CPU. Refer
to the “CPU” section in this chapter for installation instructions.

2. Place the rectangular

metal plate on top of
the heat sink then secure
it with four screws.

1. Place the copper plate

on top of the CPU then
secure it with the pro-
vided screws.

3. Do not install a push-

pin type of heat sink
and fan assembly. The
thickness of the copper
plate installed in step 1
will hinder you from in-
stalling it properly. Opt
for an assembly that
uses mounting screws.
