Step 11: Conversion for harvester model 1224-800 or F41-800
To operate the header with a Dion harvester model 1224 or F41 equipped with a 1000-
800 main transmission (cutterhead speed of 800 rpm), the main sprocket (28) on the
adaptor kit must be replaced.
Replace the sprocket (28) with the part F64-26611P (22 teeth) for 1224 model or F64-
26612P (17 teeth) for F41 harvesters, provided with the kit. Keep the replaced sprocket
for eventual future conversion.
Step 12: Installation on the harvester
Lift the rotary corn head as shown in the operator’s manual.
Position the head on the harvester and install the lock pins.
Install the drive chain and adjust the tigthener.
Adjust the flotation on the harvester to reduce the weight at the tip of the header side
dividers to less than 45kg (100 lbs).
Step 13: Operation
Refer to the operator’s manual for the start-up procedure.
Follow a strict maintenance program to extend the life of the header.
