The use of the engine fuel primer will vary with each engine and temperature condition. If the
engine is warm, little or no prime is required. During cold weather conditions, 4 - 6 priming
strokes may be required.
The Rotax 503 engine starting system requires that the throttle be closed for the engine to started.
To clear an engine that has been flooded due to excessive priming, proceed as follows:
