Charging the adapter
The DCR002 has an internal, non-removable, rechargeable battery. Do
not attempt to remove the battery from the device as you may damage
the device.
To charge the unit, connect the USB charging cable into the charging
port (c) on the unit and then plug it in to an appropriate USB port.
Longest life and best performance can be obtained if the battery
pack is charged when the air temperature is between 18° and 24 °C
(65 °F –75 °F). DO NOT charge the battery pack in an air temperature
below +4.5 °C (+40 °F), or above +40.5 °C (+105 °F ). This is important
and will prevent serious damage to the battery pack.
NotE:
While the unit is charging, the LED indicator (b) will be on solid
red. If playing music while charging the LED will alternate red and blue.
When charging is complete, the red LED indicator will be off. When the
unit needs to be charged the LED indicator will flash red once every 20
seconds. The Bluetooth
®
device will fully recharge in 4 hours or less.
Functionality
tuRNiNG the adapteR oN aNd oFF
To power the adapter on press and hold the control button (a) for 4
seconds. The LED indicator will flash blue for 3 seconds indicating the
unit is on.
To power the adapter off press and hold the control button for 4 seconds.
The LED indicator will flash red for 3 seconds indicating the unit is
powering off.
paiRiNG the adapteR With a Bluetooth
®
audio deviCe (FiG. 1)
1. Place the adapter and the Bluetooth
®
audio source within one metre
of each other.
2. With adapter off, press and hold the control button (a) for 8-9
seconds until the LED (b) rapidly flashes red and blue. This puts the
adapter in pairing mode lasting for 2 minutes.
