12 Introduction

devolo dLAN TV SAT Starter Set

tributes the satellite signal very easily via house-
hold power lines.

dLAN TV SAT Multituners per household. Enables
the operation of up to 4 different terminal devices.

2.4 The dLAN TV SAT to IP Receiver

Reception of digital satellite TV with

encrypted

(pay TV) or unencrypted transmissions in full HD
to DVB S2 standard to any TV set in the home – all
without antenna cables

HbbTV—modern videotext sent from the Internet
by dLAN to the TV set; an extra dLAN adapter is
required.

Reception of DVB-S2 radio content

DLNA—dLAN networking with the media server,
e.g., for playing videos and/or music on the TV
set; an extra dLAN adapter is required.

Foolproof installation—connection of the
dLAN TV SAT to IP Receiver to your TV set using a
conventional HDMI or SCART cable. The connec-
tion to the power and dLAN network is made

using the dLAN adapter supplied by devolo and
the included power pack.

2.5 Sample applications

dLAN TV SAT Starter Set

The

dLAN TV SAT Starter Set is the optimum solution

for starting to receive satellite TV on your TV set via the
power line. In addition, you can use your

smartphone

tablet

as a satellite TV receiver device for unen-

crypted television.

While the

satellite programme

is transmitted from

the

dLAN TV SAT Multituner

to the

dLAN TV SAT to IP Receiver

via dLAN, you receive

satellite TV using the

dLAN TV SAT App

on your

smartphone

tablet

via Wi-Fi. The prerequisite for

this scenario is an

existing

Wi-Fi

connection

, which

is connected to the dLAN network via

another dLAN

adapter

(as shown in Figure 1 and 2) and thereby also

connected to the dLAN TV SAT to IP Receiver and
