Devine DI-P Скачать руководство пользователя страница 6

Devine recommends to start with -40 dB attenuation. This way, you will start with the least powerful volume
level possible and you can see on your mixing console if the signal is strong enough. If not, you can switch
the attenuation to -20 dB and see if the signal is strong enough, but not overpowering the inputs on your
processing equipment. If this attenuation also won't provide adequate signal levels, the -0 dB attenuation can
be chosen.

Some equipment, such as the power adapters from keyboards, link-connected amplifiers or the pickups of
electric guitars, can cause unwanted noise and hums. To eliminate these problems, a ground lift is available.
The ground lift disconnects the connection between the ground of the balanced signal, the housing and the
ground of the incoming and outgoing input/link signals. If no audio-problems are present, the ground
connection does not need to be lifted.

The balanced output sends out a balanced microphone level signal, suitable for connecting to the
microphone inputs of a PA-mixer, audio interface or other equipment provided with microphone preamp
circuits.

DI box troubleshooting

If you encounter any problems with your DI box, consult this troubleshooting section for possible solutions. If
this troubleshooting section does not solve your problem, contact your dealer for more information and help.

This troubleshooting section contains the most frequently occurring problems and is not a complete
collection of possible faults, defects and solutions. This troubleshooting section applies to DI boxes. It is
possible that the problems, causes and solutions described below do not apply to your situation as product
details may vary from product to product.

Problem

Possible Cause

Solution

Incoming sound level on my
mixer/interface is too low

Source signal output too low

Increase source signal output level

Attenuation too high

Decrease attenuation to -20 dB or
-0 dB

Incoming sound level on my
mixer/interface is too high

Source signal output too high

Decrease source signal output
level

Attenuation too low

Increase attenuation to -20 dB or
-40 dB.

Strange buzzing or humming noise
present in the sound

Ground problem

Activate ground lift switch

No sound entering my mixer /
interface at all

Defective XLR cable

Replace XLR cable and check
again if there is still no signal
present

Defective instrument cable

Replace instrument cable and
check again if there is still no
signal present

Sound source does not produce
sound

Check if the sound source is
producing any sound at all by
connecting a speaker or
headphones
