manual or instructions that come with your wall bracket to ensure proper installation before mounting the

Voltage switch
The speaker is equipped with a voltage switch for extra versatility. By default, it should be set to 230V and
need no adjustment. In case of doubt, please contact your dealer.
Audio technology
The Onyx speaker series features the very latest in audio technology. By adhering to the following tips and
instructions, you can make the most of everything this speaker has to offer for the very best audio and
performance quality possible.
Aux input
The aux input is suitable for any device that transmits a line signal such as tablets, computers, MP3 players,
smartphones, DJ controllers, PA mixers, CD players, and countless other devices that are equipped with an
RCA connector or a mini jack plug.
Microphone / Line input
This input features a mic/line switch that should be set accordingly.
When set to MIC, either of the inputs can be used with a dynamic microphone, but they cannot be used
simultaneously. The microphone input is designed for dynamic microphones only and does not provide
power for condenser microphones.
When set to LINE, a mono line signal from a device like a mixer or a keyboard can be connected.
Line in / Stereo line input
The XLR connector is a balanced line input suitable for mono line signals from devices like mixers or
keyboards.
The stereo line input is suitable for connecting stereo signals via RCA connectors. The stereo signal will then
be combined and turned into a mono signal.
Line output
The line out connector is a balanced XLR that allows the signal to be passed on to additional speakers. The
output signal is the same signal that the speaker itself is using and is not set. Changing the volume level on
the speaker, therefore, will also affect the output signal.
2-band EQ / tone control
The Onyx speakers are equipped with a 2-band tone control that influences the character of the sound. For
public speaking, for instance, it may be desirable to reduce the low frequencies to make speech more
understandable.
When playing background music at a low volume, you may wish to reduce the treble and turn up the low
frequencies for a warmer sound.
When using the speaker as a floor monitor, the lows should be reduced to prevented unwanted vibrations
because sufficient lows will normally already be provided by the PA system.
When using the speaker for PA purposes, it's recommended to leave the tone controls in a neutral position (0
dB, 12 o'clock)
Bear in mind that the sound can distort or clip if you turn one or both controls too far to the left or right. It is
therefore recommended to only use these controls for subtle sound corrections and never turn them
completely to the left or right.
LED indicators
The green LED on the speaker will light up whenever the speaker is connected to an active power source
