3.3 Exhalation system

The mask has an integrated exhalation system. The retaining ring

and mask frame

are shaped so that a gap forms between these

parts. The exhaled air can escape through this gap. The specific
geometry of the parts ensures that the rotating sleeve cannot seal
this gap when it is pushed into place. Never close the gap. This will
ensure that no CO

2

builds up in the mask.
