CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System)
The 2 digit CTCSS code corresponds to a specific tone frequency transmitted by the
radio. Two users of the same channel and CTCSS code can hear each other. You
can hear no one else who transmits on the same channel, except those who had
selected the same CTCSS code.
The walkie-talkie has 38 CTCSS codes.

twice. The CTCSS Code flashes.

button to set another code.

, to confirm the setting and return to the
Receive Mode.

Press to confirm and jump to next option.
Channel search
The channel search function searches in infinite loop in channels 1 to 8 as per active
signals.

briefly to start the scanning procedure.

Release the button.
•
If the active signal (in one of the 8 channels) is found, then
the channel search is interrupted and you will hear the
active signal.

Ringer
A ringer notifies the other party whether he would like to speak.
Monitor
You can search weaker signals in current channel with the Monitor function.

VOX mode
The walkie-talkie is suitable for voice powered (VOX) transmissions. In VOX mode,
the radio transmits a signal if it is activated by your voice or other sound in your
vicinity. VOX mode is not recommended if you want to use your radio in a noisy or
high-wind environment.
