Installation
Connecting the OpenCom 100 to the network via ISDN and DSL
Connection of the DSL modem is via
a crossover twisted-pair line. You can
also use a switchable port on the
hub, which is usually indicated by an
“X”.
PCM Port
The PCM port is used to connect two
OpenCom 120 systems, or an Open-
Com 110 with an OpenCom 120 sys-
tem by a special transmission proce-
dure called pulse code modulation.
The RJ45 cable used must not ex-
ceed 4 m in length.
Sync Port
The twin-wire Sync port is used
when the OpenCom 100 serves as a
subsidiary system for a main system
that is a DECT system.
Basic Setting Switch
Using the basic setting switch, it is
possible to reset the OpenCom 100
system to the factory configuration
(see
The position of the switch can be
seen in the diagram
Please note:
The current configu-
ration data is lost, the system is reset
to the default configuration. For this
reason you should back up your con-
figuration regularly, the best time be-
ing after every change. For details, re-
fer to the chapter entitled Saving and
Loading the Configuration starting on
page 59 and to the Web console on-
line help documentation.
