INSTRUCTIONS
The tool is designed for a working pressure of 6.3 bar (90 psig).
The compressed air must be clean. The installation of a filter is
recommended. For maximum efficiency and performance,
comply with the specification of the air hose (antistatic hose).
(Refer to figure no.1 for compressed air connection)

This tool is fitted with vanes which can operate without
lubricated air. However, a small amount of oil allows the tool to
provide full power and lengthens its life.
The use of dry air with no trace of oil may reduce the life of
vanes.
The use of spare parts other than those originally supplied by
the manufacturer may result in a drop in performance or in
increased maintenance and level of vibration and in the full
cancellation of the manufacturer's liability.
For user's liability and safety, any modification in the tool or its
accessories must first be approved by the manufacturer. All
safety regulations applicable in each country relating to
installation, operation and maintenance shall always be met.
When disposing of components, lubricants, etc … ensure that
the relevant safety procedures are carried out.
To obtain maximum efficiency from the pneumatic tool,
preserve its features and avoid repeated repairs, a routine
inspection and repair programme are recommended at least
every 2,000 hours, the intervals between the various
inspections depending on the amount of exertion on the power
tool.
Check the free speed of the tool at regular intervals and after
each operation or maintenance task. Remove the abrasive to
check the speed. The maximum allowed speed shown on the
tool must not be exceeded and the vibration level must not be
excessive.
The tool is fully stopped only several seconds after the on/off
system has been released. The tool must not be operated at
free speed.

DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
DISASSEMBLING THE TOOL
Position the power tool in the baseplate (drawing C) and clamp the
assembly in a vice fitted with soft jaws. Slip the flat wrench (56) between
the suction cap (35, 36, 37, 38, 39) and the sanding pad on the flats of the
eccentric (33) to unscrew the pad. Remove the suction cap (35).
DISASSEMBLING AND REASSEMBLING THE AIR MOTOR
Using the pin wrench (drawing D), loosen the plug (30). Extract the motor.
Remove the O-ring (25) and the circlip (20) Using a bearing extractor,
remove the rear end plate (22), pull out the cylinder, the rotor, the vanes
and the Woodruff key. Remove the front end plate (27) and the plug (30).
Extract the bearing (21) from the rear end plate (22) by means of the
chuck (drawing G). Using two screwdrivers, pull out the bearing from the
shaft (drawing B), then extract the bearing (28) by means of an extractor.
Clean and replace parts if necessary.
Using the shouldered chuck (drawing E), press the bearing (28) onto the
eccentric shaft (32), then position the plug (30). Using the shouldered
chuck (drawing E), press the front end plate (27) onto the ball bearing.
Position the Woodruff key into its housing (tight). Position the rotor (check
direction of assembly on figure 2) and make sure that the rotor can slide
freely on the shaft. Slip the vanes into the rotor and position the cylinder
on the front end plate, using the roll pin. Adjust the rear end plate fitted
with its bearing (end plate notch in line with cylinder notch). Leaning on the
eccentric and not on the crankpin, press the rear end plate on, using a
shouldered chuck (drawing E), Re-fit the circlip (20) and re-position the O-
ring on the cylinder.
Warning: when reassembling the turbine in the motor housing,
adjust the turbine slot in line with the housing pin. Push the
turbine to the bottom, then screw the plug (30) again, using the
pin wrench (drawing D). Tighten to a 30 Nm torque and glue it.
DISASSEMBLING AND REASSEMBLING THE CRANKPIN
Using a small screwdriver, pull out the retainer ring (34) laterally and using
the extractor (drawing F), take out the crankpin/ bearing assembly (integral
assembly).
Slightly lubricate the crankpin (33) bearing with Bardall HR160 and re-fit
the assembly on the eccentric shaft (32). Slip the retainer ring (34)
sideways, then, using a small screwdriver, lock one side of the retainer
ring in the groove and slide it to the bottom of its housing, using a second
screwdriver (check the correct position of the retainer ring in the groove).
CHANGING THE SLEEVES.
The sleeve is clipped on.
DISASSEMBLING AND REASSEMBLING THE PLUG VALVE
Remove the lever (16), the sleeve, the sanding pad and the collector (3).
Using a Ø2 mm punch, push the pin (13) downward to extract it and
remove the plug valve (14). When reassembling, slip the pin flush with the
motor housing, checking the correct position of the plug valve in its
housing.
CHANGING THE SANDING PAD
Place the plug valve (14) in closed position before changing the sanding
pad.
MAINTENANCE
Should the suction system get clogged, remove the sanding pad and blow
into the dust exhaust pipe outwards.

The rotor vanes in this tool have a PTFE content. The
normal health and safety recommendations concerning
PTFE must be observed when handling these rotor vanes.

3. The silencer must be replaced when dirty, do not
clean and re-use.

Before using or servicing the power tool, the supply of
compressed air must be disconnected or shut off.
SXR..V : Do not use self vacuum sanders without first
connecting the dust extraction kit (57).

After cleaning or changing the rotor or the vanes, introduce 5
drops of oil (P.N. 6159900440) into the motor for the complete
lubrication of the mechanical parts.
