Electric fan check

•

Check via Axone if there is a "Fan re-
lay" error.

If there is such error:

•

check the relay and the cable harness
between fan relay and Pin 8 of the con-
trol unit.

If there is not such error:

•

activate by means of Axone.

If it does not work:

•

check relay, auxiliary fuses and their
cable harness.

If a malfunction is detected:

•

Remove the front central cover.

•

Disconnect the electric fan connector.

CAUTION

OPERATE WITH CAUTION SO AS NOT TO DAMAGE THE
RADIATOR FINS.

•

Connect the connector ends to the bat-
tery poles by means of two cables.

If the electric fan does not turn:

•

Rotate the fan manually and check that
the blades do not touch the support.

If rotation is free of obstacles:

•

Check the cable harnesses between
fan and relay.

If no malfunction is detected:

•

Check the resistance (~5 Ohm).

Replace the fan if the value measured is not ~5
Ohm.
