What is a subwoofer?
A Subwoofer is a loudspeaker that reproduces only the lowest bass frequencies.
You will not hear all of the music from a subwoofer, only the low bass.
Why do I need an amplifier?
Subwoofers require large amounts of power to produce deep heart pounding
bass. While you can connect the CSW-1200 directly to your car stereo, most
in-dash car stereos do not have sufficient power. An amplifier will provide the
THUMP and BOOM you desire.
I want to hook up two CSW-1200 subwoofers. How do I wire them?
Connect one to the left channel of the amplifier and the second one to the right
channel. You CAN wire the subs in parallel (+ to + &- to -) if your amplifier is
2 Ohm stable in “Bridged Mode”. Most amplifier are 4 Ohm stable when
“Bridged”.
