Algae reactor AR 2000

Intended use
The AR 2000 can be operated inside and outside from filter sumps.
It is only suitable for the cleaning of aquarium water by algae.

Scope of delivery
Algae reactor with two light strips and CO2 connection.
You will also need feed pump from 2000 l/h, inlet and outlet hose, algae.

Set-up and assembly of the reactor
Den AR 2000 an einem geeigneten Ort aufstellen, dass mittige Rohr mit der
Druckseite einer Pumpe verbinden. Es wird empfohlen eine Pumpe mit min. 2000 L/h
zu wählen. Den Auslass des AR 2000 in die Filterwanne zurückführen und darauf
achten das dieses Wasser nicht wider von der Zuführungspumpe angesaugt wird.
Es wird empfohlen mit PVC-Schlauch oder dickwandigem Silikonschlauch zu arbeiten.
Die Schläuche mit Kabelbinder oder Schlauchschelle am Reaktor sichern.
Set up the
AR 2000 at a suitable location, connect the central pipe to the pressure side of a
pump. It is recommended to choose a pump with min. 2000 L/h.
Return the outlet of the AR 2000 to the filter sump and make sure that this water is
not sucked back by the feed pump.
It is recommended to use PVC hose or thick-walled silicone hose.
Secure the hoses to the reactor with cable ties or hose clamps.

Commissioning the reactor
Connect the pump to the power supply. The water is now pumped into the reactor.
Run the reactor for two days without algae and without light with approx. 1000 L/h.
5.
Inseting the Alga
Switch off the feed pump and open the lid by turning it counterclockwise.
If this is too difficult, a striking edge is provided for light blows with a hammer.
Insert an alga at least the size of a fist.
When closing the light tube, make sure that it locks into the lower guide.
Switch on the pump again and regulate it in such a way, that the alga rotates slowly.
Now switch on the light bar at a low level.

What to Consider

Water supply through connection middle tube

The sealing caps must always be fitted on the lamp tube to prevent moisture from
entering the lamp.

No water may get into the lamp tube.

Additionally secure the hoses for the water supply and discharge with a cable tie or
hose clamp on the grommet.

Do not pull on the lamp cables.

Clean the light tube only with soft sponges. (Scratching with e.g. rough side sponge).
