Introduction

You have bought a graphics adapter to use with Windows XP, Vista, 7 or Mac 

OS to connect additional displays to your computers’ USB port.

Furthermore you can use up to six USB3-DVI adapters if you need to use even 

more displays. When using multiple USB3-DVI the graphics performance 

is dependant of your computers’ USB performance. It is not recommended 

to connect multiple USB3-DVI via a USB hub. In the package you also find 

adapters for connecting VGA and HDMI displays to the USB3-DVI.

Windows Vista and 7

When using USB3-DVI in Windows Vista or Windows 7, it works all Plug 

and play.  The operating system automatically installs what is needed from 

Windows Update and use the built in multiple display management functions. 

Tip: 

•  Connect a monitor to USB3-DVI before you connect it to your computer as 

 

 

Windows start using it immediately and you might need to see the  

 

information on the new monitor.

•  If you don’t have a connection to Internet when installing the device and 

 

 

the installation fails. Please insert the CD and try again, Windows will  

 

then look for drivers also on the CD.

Windows XP and Mac OS

If you use Windows XP or Mac OS you must use the drivers from the enclosed 

CD. Install the drivers before you connect the USB3-DVI to your computer 

Installation

•  Connect your display to the DVI connector of the USB3-DVI. If your display  

 

cable has VGA or HDMI connector, use one of the included adapters.

•  Connect the included USB micro B cable to the USB3-DVI.

In Windows Vista or 7: 

•  Now connect the USB3-DVI with the USB cable to your PC. It will be 

 

installed automatically.

•  Use Windows display settings for selecting display mode.

•  Done

In Windows XP: 

•  Insert the included CD and install the drivers.

•  When the drivers are installed, connect the USB3-DVI with the USB cable  

 

to your PC.

•  Use the DisplayLink application for selecting display mode.

•  Done.

In Mac OS: 

•  Insert the included CD and install the drivers.

•  When the drivers are installed, connect the USB3-DVI with the USB cable  

 

to your Mac.

•  Use the DisplayLink application for selecting display mode.

•  Done.
