default-information originate
Generate a default route for the RIP traffic.
Syntax default-information originate [always] [metric metric-value ] [route-map map-
name ]
To return to the default values, use the
no default-information originate
command.
Parameters
always (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword always to enable the switch software to always
advertise the default route.
metric metric-value (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword
metric
then a number as the metric value. The range is
from 1 to 16. The default is 1 .
