Removing the Battery

1.

Follow the procedures in 

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.

2.

Remove the base cover.

3.

Perform the following steps to remove the battery:
a) Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
b) Remove the screws that secure the battery to the palmrest assembly.
c) Lift the battery off the palmrest assembly.

Installing the Battery

1.

Tighten the screws that secure the battery to the palmrest assembly.

2.

Connect the battery cable to the system board.

3.

Install the base cover.

4.

Follow the procedures in 

After Working Inside Your Computer.

Removing the Touchpad

1.

Follow the procedures in 

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.

2.

Remove the:
a) base cover
b) battery

3.

Disconnect and remove the touchpad cable from the system board. Remove the screws that secure 
the touchpad to the computer.
