Upgrading Your Operating System
Updating the VDS/VSS Provider
The VDS provider is a critical component to the PowerVault NX1950
solution. To download the latest VDS provider, see the Dell Support
website at
support.dell.com .
To update the VDS / VSS provider from the Dell Support website,
perform the following steps:

Open a web browser and go to support.dell.com .

Click Drivers and Downloads .

From the drop-down menu, select the Product Type as PowerVault
and Product Model as NX1950 and click Go .

Select the operating system and click Find Downloads .

Download the SMprovider-WSx64-xx.xx.xx.xx.exe file
where xx is the version number.

Run the SMprovider-WSx64-xx.xx.xx.xx.exe file.
NOTE:
You must ensure that you download the x64 version
of the VDS / VSS provider.
The installation produces a warning as shown in Figure 1-4.

When this warning appears, click OK .
