Communicating With People Using Your Dell™ Lightning

To import contacts from your accounts
After you set up an e-mail or social networking
account on your phone, your contacts and friends
from that account are imported automatically into
your People application.
To view feeds from a social networking account
After you set up an account such as Windows Live
or Facebook, your friends’ messages and wall posts
appear in time order in the
what’s new section in
the People application, their pictures are displayed
in the Pictures application, and your own feeds pop
up in your
Me tile.
To post a quick message to your account
To post a quick message so that your friends know your current status:
1 Touch the Me tile.
2 Touch the quick message area.
3 Type your message into the text box.
4 Touch the post button.
To import contacts from your SIM card
1 Put your old SIM card into your new phone.
2 From the People application, flick to the all section, or touch Start
→

→
flick to applications
→
people .
3 Touch import SIM contacts .
