Remove the

computer cover

Remove the

front bezel

Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 6 in “

Removing the optical drive

”.

Procedure

Remove the screw (#6-32xL6.35) that secures the front-I/O bracket to the chassis.

Gently release the ports on the front-I/O bracket from the slots on the chassis and lift the front-I/O bracket off the chassis.

Disconnect the power-button cable from the system board.

Press the tabs on the power-button module to release the module from the front panel.
