Disconnect the cables from the expansion card.

Remove the expansion card riser.
Steps

Press the tab on the expansion card riser and slide the PCIe retention bracket up.
NOTE:
This step is applicable only if you are removing the expansion cards from the slots 12 and 13 of Riser 3
(IO_RISER3) and slots 9 and 10 of Riser 2 (IO_RISER2).

Lift the PCIe card latch.

Hold the expansion card by its edges, and lift the card out until the connector on the card disconnects from the connector on the riser.
