Setting up the PostgreSQL user on Linux
Before starting a new installation of Unisphere for PowerMax or Unisphere 360 on
Linux, the PostgreSQL user (
postgres
) and group (
postgres
), must be present. In
addition, the user must be a member of the
postgres
group.
Use the following commands to create the
postgres
group and add the
postgres
user to the
postgres
group:
groupadd postgres
useradd -g postgres postgres
