Rapid climb
When the
Rapid climb
), a button is be visible during
flight. It allows the user to let the aircraft perform a rapid climb of 30 meters (98 feet). Following the
climb, the aircraft will hold while waiting for new instructions.
This command can be used to evade a collision with a bird of prey and is intended for operations
within visual line of sight.
Keep in mind that geofence heights will always be respected so this action will not allow the aircraft
to pass the height restriction. This point should be considerd by the pilot during mission planning as a
vertical geofence cannot be adjusted after takeoff.
It is recommended to enable the
Rapid climb
button only when needed, for instance in areas where
birds of prey are common.
