Battery test and replacement

It is recommended that the alarm is tested regularly. If the alarm sounds weak, the batteries should be 
replaced. 

1. 

Toggle the switch to “Hi” or “Lo”

2.  Push the test button on the front of the Window Shock Alarm.
3.  If the red light illuminates, the batteries are still good.
4.  If the light fails to illuminate then please replace the batteries. 

The unit operates by 4 x LR44 (or equivalent) button batteries. 

5.  Slide off the battery compartment cover.
6.  Remove the old batteries and replace with fresh ones. Important – do not mix old and new batteries 

as this seriously affects the performance of the Window Shock Alarm.

7.  Replace the battery compartment cover and follow the test procedure above.

Remove batteries before storing this device for extended periods. Batteries will corrode over time and 
may cause permanent damage. Depleted batteries should be disposed of properly.

Care and Maintenance

To clean the Window Shock Alarm housing use a soft cloth that has been slightly dampened with water 
and wipe. Do not use chemical agents as they may damage or discolour the plastic housing.

CAUTION

• 

When testing the alarm, make sure you cover the siren. 

• 

The power source or propellant has a finite / limited life.

• 

DO NOT MODIFY THE ALARM. 

• 

The alarm should be kept out of reach and audible range of children and pets.

Note: 

Performance may be adversely affected following prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures.

The high output siren fitted to this quality personal alarm may cause ear damage if used at close 
range for a prolonged period of time. Keep away from children and pets ears. This product is 
designed for use as a deterrent; it does not guarantee protection or personal safety.
