Fit the DEFA relay 460838 on a suitable place on the engine room.
Take into consideration the inn/out cable connections.
Note! The relay must be installed with the plugs pointing downwards to
avoid water penetration into the relay. An outlet which is not in use should
be blanked off using the enclosed plugs.
Connect the DEFA main power supply cable (from the front of the vehicle to
the relay). Use DEFA extension cable, 460802 (0,5m), 460803 (1,0m),
460843 (1,5m) or 460804 (2,0m), from the relay to the SafeStart (engine
heater) and/or Termini/Termina (interior heater).
DEFA relay and SmartStart™
When only (Not the charger) using DEFA relay together with SmartStart™
the remote control display will not show the connected icon. For complete

D: Blue. DO NOT connect.
DEFA relay and Futura
TMP: Temp. censor 418071. Must be ordered separate.
GRN: Green. Connects to 418071.
YEL: Yellow. Connect to positive (+) on the relay.
BLU: Blue. Connect to ignition joint 15.
RED: Red. Connect the positive (+) via a 5A fuse.
BLK: Black. Connect the negative (-) on to the battery. Also to the
temp.sencor 418071if that is available.

DEFA-Relais 460838 im Motorraum dort montieren, wo es für den
Anschluss der Eingangs- und Ausgangsleitungen am zweckmäßigsten ist.
Wichtig! Das DEFA-Relais so montieren, dass die Ausgänge nach unten
geneigt sind, um Wasseransammlungen zu vermeiden. Ausgänge, die nicht
verwendet werden, MÜSSEN mit den beigefügten Dichtungsstopfen
verschlossen werden.
Am Relaiseingang wird die Eingangsleitung des Geräts angeschlossen (die
von der Fahrzeugfront zum Relais verläuft). Am Relaisausgang wird die
entsprechende Verlängerungsleitung angeschlossen, 460802 (0,5 m),
460803 (1,0 m), 460843 (1,5 m) oder 460804 (2,0 m) für SafeStart
(Motorwärmer) und/oder Termini/Termina (Innenraumheizung).
DEFA-Relais zusammen mit SmartStart™
Bei Verwendung des DEFA-Relais statt des DEFA-Batterieladegeräts
MultiCharger 1203 (Art.nr. 450009) wird das Verbindungsicon auf dem
Display der Fernbedienung nicht angezeigt. Für weitere Informationen zur
Verwendung und Montage von SmartStart™, siehe Produktanleitung oder
im Internet unter www.defa.com.
D: Blaue Leitung: Darf nicht angeschlossen werden.
DEFA-Relais zusammen mit Futura
TMP: Der Temperaturfühler 418071 muss separat bestellt werden.
GRN: Grüne Leitung. Wird an 418071 angeschlossen.
YEL: Gelbe Leitung. Wird an der Pluszuleitung (+) des Relais
angeschlossen.
BLU: Blaue Leitung. Wird an der Zündungsklemme 15 angeschlossen.
RED: Rote Leitung. Wird über eine 5-A-Sicherung am Pluspol (+) der
Batterie angeschlossen.
BLK: Schwarze Leitung. Wird am Minuspol (-) der Batterie angeschlossen.
Eventuell auch an 418071, falls montiert.
