6.2.3  Synchro library header and binary files  

A user may develop custom code using the included Synchro Library header and 
binary files. See the Function Calls section of this manual for a list of the available 
routines. The header file associated with the Synchro library, 'synchro.h', is found in 
the typical system header tree under '/usr/include/synchro'. This file is to be included 
in any application source code that will make calls to the SB-3624x device, as shown:

The static and shared library binary files with associated links, 'libsynchro.*', are found 
in the typical system library directory '/usr/lib'. Linking an upper level application to the 
Synchro library typically involves including the '-lsynchro' option on the linker 
command line. Refer to the 'Makefile' found in the 'samples' directory for examples of 
how to build application programs. 

6.3  LabVIEW Support Software Overview  

6.3.1  API Library function VI’s  

The LabVIEW Support package includes VI’s for every function call provided in the 
Synchro API Library for a user to develop a custom application in the LabVIEW 
environment.  

6.3.2  Example VI’s  

A set of example VI’s are included to demonstrate the usage of some of the library 
function VI’s, or be used in a user application.  

6.3.3  Demo Application  

A demo application is included to demonstrate the building of a LabVIEW application 
as well as the usage of the SB-3624x card. The functionality of this application can be 
found similar to the Windows console program. 

6.4  Windows Software Installation 

If an existing version of the software is already installed, you must first uninstall it 
through the 

Control Panel 

 Add or Remove Programs

The Windows software is available on the MFT Software CD included with the device. 
To ensure you have the latest version of the software, download it off our website at 
www.ddc-web.com.
