3.12 AIR CONDITIONING AND PRESSURIZATION SYSTEM
Description
The cabin air conditioning and pressurization, and equipment air conditioning, are ensured by
bleed air from the last compressor stage of the engine.
A ram air inlet, in the left side of the nose cone, ensures cabin ventilation with fresh air in case
of malfunction of the air conditioning system.
The system includes a cabin demist switch and an cabin seal inflation lever.
To pressurize the cabin, the master switch must be set to ON, the canopy seal lever to the
forward position (inflated) and the ram air switch to OFF.
The cabin pressurization program is as follows:

from 0 to 6500 ft: cabin pressure equal to outside pressure
-
from 6500 ft to 18,000 ft: constant cabin pressure of 6500 ft
-
above 18,000 ft: cabin pressure 300 mb higher than outside pressure (to keep 4.35 psi).
