pressure on the knife, but do not twist.
When sharpening a curved knife, lift the
handle up as the knife tip approaches
the end of the slot. Be sure to keep a
constant pressure on the blade contour.
Next repeat the same process on the
left slot of the coarse grinding wheel.
Keep alternating between the right
and left slots until you do 3 on each
side, this will ensure the entire blade
is sharpened and the blade edge
proportions are maintained.
As a guide, each pull will take 2-3
seconds for short blades, 4-5 seconds
for a 20cm blade, and 6 seconds for
longer blades. The max operating time
is 2 minutes.
Stage 2 – Fine Grind
Repeat the above steps, but this time
with the right and left slots of the fine
grinding wheel.
IMPORTANT: You should begin to pull
the blade toward you as soon as you
insert it and never push the blade away
from you. Make sure that the pressure
you apply on the handle is enough to
keep the blade in good constant contact
with the grinding wheel.
To sharpen scissors, simply guide the
scissor blade slowly through the tools
sharpening slot, keeping a constant
pressure.
To sharpen flat head screwdrivers insert
the tip of the screwdriver into the slot
and grind for short periods, this will
avoid over grinding.
For best results:
• Always clean and thoroughly dry
knives before and after sharpening.
• Keep light downward pressure when
sharpening.
• Maintain a constant pull rate over
