Power
The 250W electric motor is wear-free
(brushless) and drives the rear wheel
directly through the pedals‘ axleshaft. A
two speed transmission, located in the
waterproof aluminium housing, is shifted
as needed to compensate for insufficient
pedalling forces, almost noiselessly.
Intelligence
A sensor system permanently measures
the torsion of the pedal shaft, determi-
ning the force applied by the cyclist. The
electronic system reacts instantaneously,
ensuring a continuously variable motor
control. The gear recommendation incre-
ases the pedelec‘s range considerably by
optimising the energy consumption and
thus contributing decisively to econo-
mic cycling.
Safety
The motor is equiped with several safe-
ty mechanisms. The 3D position sen-
sors detect both horizontal and verti-
cal tilts and react immediately by swit-
ching off the motor or by giving an
impulse for stronger pedalling assistance.
Furthermore, the electronic system will
switch off the motor as soon as a brake
lever is pulled. This guarantees a jerk-free
stop and smooth start, e.g. at traffic lights.
The motor was developed and is manu-
factured by daum electronic in compli-
ance with the specifications of the DIN EN
15194 standard.
Endurance
The 36V battery is equipped with lithium-
ion technology, the latest battery tech-
nology for electric bikes. This reduces
the weight of the power packs while ex-
tending the travel range. The approx. 3.6
kgs battery pack allows a travel range of
up to 80 kms, depending on the selected
assistance mode, the terrain profile
and your weight. The charging time for
discharged batteries is under 3 hrs and
thus pretty fast.
The heart of the pedelecs beats in the
motor – whenever it‘s needed
The drive unit developed by daum combines both top class technical know how and
top quality workmanship „made in Germany“. Mounted on a central position of the bot-
tom bracket, it provides with its precise mechanism and intelligent elecronics a power-
ful assistance and relaxed riding experience.
The wear-free electric motor is controlled by a power measuring system sensing the tor-
sion of the pedals shaft and permanently communicating with the electronic system.
Driven by a high performance lithium-ion rechargeable battery tested for safety, it gua-
rantees a relaxed riding pleasure for up to 80 kms.The sensors detect both horizontal
and vertical tilts of the bike and react immediately either by switching off the motor or
by giving the impulse for a stronger pedalling assistance.
