Tech note
: Transcoding is the act of changing video from one format to another,
for example, from composite video to S-video. The SE-500 has been designed to
perform transcoding, as part of its standard operating procedure. Select a video
source on the Main Source Input bus, and it will be available at the Main Output in
all formats, S-Video and Composite, simultaneously.
N.B. The output format can be S-Video and Composite or Component Video (YUV) and Composite. It
is not possible to output S-Video (Y/C) and Component Video (YUV) at the same time.
