Appendix A
Rack Installation
This appendix provides information on how to install a SFA12K family controller, a BBU, and
an ATS in a rack.
CAUTION !
Anti-tip plates should be firmly attached to the bottom of the rack to
prevent the rack from tipping over when a drawer is pulled out of the
rack.
A.1
Rackmounting the Controller
There are two types of controller rail. The standard rail which ships with the product is
designed for use with racks with vertical post separation distance of 26.75" and greater
. An optional “short” rail kit is available for racks where the vertical post
separation is 26.75" or less.
The SFA12K family controllers are designed to fit within a 3U rack space.
illustrates the position of the rail and controller when mounted in the rack.
