Read a single analog input value or a digital input value from the specified
channel/line. Each A/D subsystem contains one differential analog input
channel.

Eight digital input lines (0 to 7) are available on Port A, and eight digital
output lines (0 to 7) are available on Port B.

The value is output to the specified analog output channel (DAC 0 or 1) on
the DT9822 module, or to a digital output line using a gain of 1.
