Chapter 4

Testing Single-Value Analog Input

To verify that the module can read a single analog input value, do the following:

Connect a voltage source, such as a function generator, to analog input channel 0
(single-ended mode) of a DT9816 Series module. Refer to

page 38

for an example of how

to connect a single-ended analog input.

In the Quick DataAcq application, choose

Single Analog Input

from the

Acquisition

menu.

Select the appropriate DT9816 Series module from the

Board

list box.

In the

Channel

list box, select analog input channel 0.

In the

Range

list box, select the range for the channel (±10 V).

Select

Single Ended

Click

Get

to acquire a single value from analog input channel 0.

The application displays the value on the screen in both text and graphical form.
