Configuring the Modem
The modem requires the use of AT commands to enable dialing when power is applied. The following are the required
commands.
&A:
Activates a designated location in memory where the phone number to be dialed is stored.
String: &An
Range: n=000 – 009
To activate location one in memory, the convention would be AT&A001&W.
&Z:
Stores a phone number to the designated active memory location set by &A. Note that both &Z and &A use the same
number.
String: &Zn
Range: n=0 – 9
An example of storing a number would be AT&Z1=4258822206&W
The stored number may be verified by entering AT&V1. Up to 10 numbers may be entered into memory. Only one of these
numbers may be active at a time.
